Courses

Here are the spy/clan classes that we offer currently:

1. Manners and Respect(taught by Alia)- In this class, students will learn diplomatic skills that are essential when dealing with the leaders of other clans.  They will learn appropriate titles, greetings, and negotiation skills.  The end of the course will consist of a short and fun interactive exam involving fellow peers.
2. Commands Class(taught by Alia or Blaze)- In this class, students will learn a total of five clan battle commands( march, attention, flee, search, and defend) and put them into effect by running around the academy and responding to them!  Students will take an interactive exam at the end of the course.        
3. Prisoner Class(taught by Alia or an alumni)- Students will learn correct conduct should they ever be taken hostage by an enemy clan or wizard.  Students will learn typical interrogation questions that are often demanded of prisoners and the correct responses to them.  End of course exam consists of students getting taken "prisoner" and analyzing how they compose and handle themselves.                     
4. Spy Class(taught by Valkoor or Blaze)-In this course students will learn the art of spying; including how to sneak in a house unseen, tricks to see into rooms without physically being there, and even an invisibility trick! End of course exam info. not available.                                                                                       
5. DOTS History (taught by Alia or other)- Students will learn the history of the DOTS clan, along with their past, present, and even future enemies and allies.  End of course exam consists of various oral questions.
6. Ranks and Promotions(taught by Alia or Blaze)- Students will learn about all the ranks of DOTS, from scouts to star generals.  They will learn the roles each rank plays in the clan, and the requirements for promotions.  Exams will be oral questions.                                                      
7. Battle Formation(taught by Blaze or Alia)- Students gather outside in the academy "battlefield" and learn battle formations organized according to rank.  The end of course exam is interactive and fun(in order to attend, students must first take the ranks and promotions class).                                              
8. War Council Class(taught by Blaze or Alia)- In this course students will learn what and what not to say at a war council, when to speak, and how to act.  End of course exam will consist of an imitation of a real war council(in order to attend students must first take the manners and respect course)           
9. Forming your own clan(taught by Alia or Blaze)- This course is for our students who enjoy clan play, and wish to make their own clan.  Students will learn skills on recruiting members, building a base, watching out for spies, and serious dangers to avoid.  Since this class covers so much material, it will take place over a period of time, and you must have professor recommendation.

The following classes are the basic courses we offer:

1. Secrets of the Spiral(taught by Brahm)- Students will learn about secrets of the spiral unknown to the regular wizard.  End of exam content unknown.
2. Pets(taught by Brahm)- Students will learn the art of breeding, hatching, training, and using pets.  End of course exam content not available.
3. Crafting(Dolan)- In this fun class, students will be crafting various items from different worlds.  Students will learn good farming spots, and constantly go on field trips.  There is no exam for this class, but collecting a certain amount of reagents may be assigned for homework.
4. PvP( taught by Lucas Thunderhammer)- In this course, you will learn all about pvp strategy: what spells to use, when to shield, heal, etc.  You will be taking lots of field trips to a pvp ring for hands on learning! exam information n/a.
5. French(Brahm)- It is what it sounds like!  Learn the French language(must have open chat).  End of course exam information n/a.
6. Fashion/Stitching(taught by Jonathon)- In this session, you will learn the do's and don't's of fashion when you are choosing the outfit you want to stitch your power cloths into.  No exam.

Graduation Requirements:

• In order to graduate with a regular diploma from the DOTS Academy, students are required to take two basic classes of their choice, manners and respect class, prisoner class, and three other spy/clan classes of their choice. 
• In order to graduate with a starlight diploma from the DOTS Academy, students are required to take all courses(exemptions from certain classes may be made if certain teachers are not available).
• In order to pass a class, students must both be attentive during the course and make a passing grade on the exam.
